Summary:


Qingcheng Mountain is the birthplace of Chinese Taoism with a history over 1800 years. Besides temples, this mountain is renowned for its lush forest and quiet environment. It is regarded as a living place for the gods. 
Dujiangyan, an ancient hydro-project, which was built 2300 years ago, and still plays an important role for irrigating in Chengdu Plain even today. Besides the dam, you also can see  a traditional garden next to the entrance and some Taoist Temples on the mountains.

Trip Itinerary

7:30 The guide will meet you up at you hotel  by holding a sign of your name on it (the trip starts at 07:45 in December,January and February) 
9:30-12:30 Take an electronic cart from the car parking to the ticket office of Qingcheng Mountain.Then climb up about 30 minutes to the cable car terminal.Catch cable car to the middle waist.We will continue to climb up to the top, enjoying the temples and nice scenery on the mountain.Back to the car parking on the same way,and drive to Dujiangyan(40 minutes). 
13:00 lunch time. 
13:45 Get into Dujiangyan Irrigation System.Visit a traditional Chinese garden with many bonsais.Then continue to visit the main body of this ancient hydro-project which is made up of three parts.They are Baopingkou(mounth of the vase),Yuzui(Fish mouth) and Feishayan(Flying Sands Dam).Walk cross a bridge,and climb up the hill,seeing Taoist Temples on the mountain.If you don't want to climb up hill,you can get back by the electronic cart.  
15:45 Head back for Chengdu.Drop you off at your hotel by 18:00.

Trip Notes

1. A valid passport, a valid China visa and Tibet Permits are necessary documents for traveling in Tibet.
2. In Tibet, we suggest you avoid strong activity; do not take shower at the first day; drink more water and avoid of alcohol; better not to take oxygen if your AMS symptoms are mild. Always remember that if you have any problems or feel uncomfortable, please tell your guide immediately or contact our travel consultant.
3. A windbreaker, a pair of durable and comfortable shoes, a down jacket (better with hat), sunscreen cream, sun block, skin cream and lip balm, sunglasses, medicine for urgent use.
Holding Panda in Chengdu
For the sake of giant panda, Chengdu Research Base of Panda Breeding is not available for holding a panda at present. If you are interested, please extend to Dujiangyan Panda Base, Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base and Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Base instead.
High Speed Train Experience
Taking high speed train to travel around China will be unique and special experience for you. Instead of taking flight, you can take high speed train from Beijing to Xian/Xian to Beijing, Chengdu to Chongqing, Yichang to Shanghai/Shanghai to Yichang, etc. All are within comfortable traveling time to reach the destinations. If you cancel or cannot take your tour as a consequence of force majeure, LeTourPanda will refund the amount you have paid less any non-recoverable out-of-pocket costs incurred on your behalf - car rentals, admissions, hotel reservations, tickets etc. We may require you to provide verification to confirm that you were unable to take your tour if you request a refund under this provision.
Force Majeure includes impersonal events such as war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, earthquake or natural disaster that makes it dangerous or impossible to safely undertake the tour. The determination of what constitutes 'Force Majeure' is at the discretion of LeTourPanda.
For cancellation due to any other reasons (such as illness, change of personal circumstances), the date on which the request to cancel is received by LeTourPanda will determine the refund due as follows:
If you cancel 7 days or more before the start of the tour:10% cancellation fee.
If you cancel 6 to 2 days before the start of the tour:50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel less than 1 day before the start of the tour or no show: 100% cancellation fee.
