D1 Chengdu
In the morning you will make a memorable visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Located just 10 km (6 miles) away from downtown,this facility is not only the most important panda scientific research center in the world, but also the home for more than 100 Giant Pandas. You will walk at leisure through the bamboo-framed paths and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, and climbing trees.The base cares also for other rare and endangered wild animals with an area of 560 mus (92 acres), 96% of which is verdure. Giant pandas, lesser pandas, black-necked cranes, white storks as well as over 20 species of rare animals are fed and bred there. Verdant bamboo, bright flowers, fresh air, a natural hill scene and a beautiful artificial view are merged ingeniously at the base.
After lunch we will visit Huanhuaxi Park for leisure birding, there you can find local residential birds like White-browed Laughingthrush, Spotted Dove, Little Egret, Black-crowned Night Heron, Chinese Grosbeak, Chinese Bulbul, Chinese Blackbird, Oriental Magpie Robin, Common Kingfisher, Vinous-throated Parrotbill etc.
Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. Time steals away from you quietly while walking on the lively streets which are full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, etc.
Day 2 Chengdu - Huanglongxi Ancient Town - Leshan--Chengdu
After breakfast, you will take an hour’s drive to Huanglongxi Ancient Town, a charming town with winding cobbled lanes leading to wharves and temples. Inspite of a history of 1700 years, Huanglongxi Ancient Town still remains its antique flavor given off by ancient buildings and old folklore custom. The featured layout and architectures make it a national film and television photography base and 150 more movies have been shot here. You can turn to any direction to find something interesting to explore, like courtyards, ancient banyan trees, or foot bridges. Strolling alongside the running stream or dabbling in the water which run through the town will be an enjoyable experience and you will feel a cool and refreshing summer.
After beautiful ancient town tour, you will be driven about 2 hours to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Leshan Giant Buddha which is carved into a mountain rock cliff and overlooking the river below him. As the largest and tallest Buddha statue, he enjoys a total height of 71 meters, with14.7-meter long and 10-meter wide head, 7-meter long ears, 8.5-meter broad insteps and 8.5-meter long toes. Even his small fingernail is taller than an averagely-tall adult. The Giant Buddha was constructed in AD 713 to bless the boatmen from swift currents in river hollows. In spite of long history of over 1300 years, it is well-preserved as there is a smart water-drainage system designed inside the body to prevent weathering.
30 minutes' amazing boat experience will drive you to front of the Giant Buddha and appreciate a wonderful panoramic view of him.
After your sightseeing in Leshan, you will be transferred back to Chengdu.
D3 Chengdu departure
After breakfast,you will be escorted to airport / train station for your flight or train to next destination. Service ends!

If you cancel or cannot take your tour as a consequence of force majeure, LeTourPanda will refund the amount you have paid less any non-recoverable out-of-pocket costs incurred on your behalf - car rentals, admissions, hotel reservations, tickets etc. We may require you to provide verification to confirm that you were unable to take your tour if you request a refund under this provision.
Force Majeure includes impersonal events such as war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, earthquake or natural disaster that makes it dangerous or impossible to safely undertake the tour. The determination of what constitutes 'Force Majeure' is at the discretion of LeTourPanda.
For cancellation due to any other reasons (such as illness, change of personal circumstances), the date on which the request to cancel is received by LeTourPanda will determine the refund due as follows:
If you cancel 7 days or more before the start of the tour:10% cancellation fee.
If you cancel 6 to 2 days before the start of the tour:50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel less than 1 day before the start of the tour or no show: 100% cancellation fee.
