Located just 10 km (6 miles) away from downtown, this facility is not only the most important panda scientific research center in the world, but also the home for more than 100 Giant Pandas. You will walk at leisure through the bamboo-framed paths and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, and climbing trees. The base cares also for other rare and endangered wild animals with an area of 560 mus (92 acres), 96% of which is verdure. Giant Panda, Red Panda, Black Swan, Green Peafowl as well as over 20 species of rare animals are fed and bred there. Verdant bamboo, bright flowers, fresh air, a natural hill scene and a beautiful artificial view are merged ingeniously at the base.

People's Park is the most popular park in Sichuan's capital city and is host to a colorful mix of Chengdu residents who are always out enjoying themselves in the open air.
The park is not only an enjoyable place to relax and mingle; it also has great historical significance. It was the site of the 1911 protests against the Qing government's policy of handing over railway construction to foreigners. These Chengdu protests and strikes set off a chain reaction that helped topple the Qing dynasty.
China's Lane (also called Kuan-zhai Lane, which literally means wide and narrow lanes), is a conservation of old architectural structures that have been implanted with modern decoration in a bustling Chengdu city.
Kuanzhai Xiangzi is one of the three key preservation areas in Chengdu. It consists of Kuan Lane (Wide Lane), Zhai Lane (Narrow Lane) and Jing Lane of which there are three parallelly arranged traditional streets and Siheyuan (courtyard houses). Meanwhile, it is an only area which recorded rich architectural and social characteristic feature about the residential building from Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) till now.
