DAY01: Arrive to the Gongar Airport - pick up and drive to the Hotel
The airport is called Gong gar airport, because the location of the airport is Gonggar County of Lhoka Prefecture. You will be picked up by the local guide and drive to Lhasa. The distance from the airport to here is about 60 kilometers which takes about one hour. Lhasa is 3650m. So it needs some time to acclimatize the altitude, the rest of the day you will stay in the hotel.

DAY02: Potala palace-Jokhang temple-Barkhor street
The Palace is located in the center of the city, Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama,which was originally built in the 7th century by the king Songtsan Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalai lama in the 17th century. The whole Palace is consist of Red and White Palace.The White Palace was for secular use and the Red Palace was for religious use.
Jokhang temple is the most important and the oldest temple of Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by the 33rd king Songtsen Gampo. The temple is the spiritual center of Tibet.,and keeps many valuable relics, the most important and the famous one is the Jowo Sakyamuni aged 12.
Barkhor Street is surrounded to the temple, and there is some local vendor and souvenir. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit around Jokhang temple. There are so many shops and outside purchase which sales lovely Tibetan rugs home woven tweeds, beautiful ornaments knives,turquoise,corals and amber .
DAY03:Drepung and SeraMonastery-Norbulingka
Drepung Monastery,the monastery is located to the west suburb of Lhasa. It takes about 20 minutes from center. Drepung Monastery is the largest monastery of Tibet,in the 17th century the number of the monks in this monastery were about 100.000. Built in 1416 by Tsongkhapa’s disciple—Jamyang-choje, and also it is one of the six monasteries on Gelukpa Sect.
Sera monastery,which is located to the north suburb of Lhasa city. The monastery is the second largest monastery of Tibet, and it was built in 1419 by one of disciple of Tsongkhapa. The Monastery is specially worth to visit every afternoon except on Sunday,the monks in the monastery will debate at the courtyard of the monastery. Debating conducts academic debates,the questions relates to the subjects the learned in the monastery.
Norbulingka, the Jewel Park was the Dalailama’s summer palace,it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions and a zoo. It was summer garden of Dalailama and nowadays Tibetan people go there in summer time to have picnic. The Qing magistrate dispatched to Tibet originally built a palace for the Seventh Dalai lama since his Holiness often visited the palace.

DAY04: Gyantse -Yamdrok Lake - Karo La Glacier-Gyangtse-Shigatse
Gyantse lies 270kms southwest of Lhasa on the Northern bank of Nyang Chu River. It takes around 7 hours to reach Gyantse crossing the Kamba La Pass (4800m) where the beautiful Yamdrok Tso will be seen.
Yamdrok Lake is the most beautiful lake of Tibet and one of the three famous lake of Tibet.It has very beautiful View from Mountain Gampa Lha. Karo La Pass (5010m) where the year-around glacier will be seen. The mountain pass you drive here is almost as high as the first base camp of EBC.
Gyantse has been known as a heroic town since Tibetans resisted the Young husband’s British Expedition to Tibet in 1904.This historical town is the biggest county of Shigatse City, and also one of the three agricultural area of Tibet. The main sightseeing place here are Gyantse kumbum and Pelkor Chode.It takes about one and half hours to visit the monastery and the Pagoda,then you will continue to drive to Shigatse.The distance from Gyantse to Shigatse is about 90km and will take about 2 hours drive.
The Phalkor monastery was built in the 15th century by the local chieftain Raptan Kunsang under the guidance of the first Pan chan la ma.It is a complex composed of sixteen monasteries of three different sects:Gelugpa,Sakyapa and Bhoton.
There are 100,000 images in the Kumbum Pagoda, both solid and painting. It is a real work of art; one of the most magnificent buildings in Tibet, strongly of Newari(Nepal) architecture, erected in 1440 by Rabtan Kunsang. )
Shigatse is the second biggest city in Tibet, 90km away from Gyangtse. The famous Tashillunpo monastery in Shigatse, seat of the Panchan Lama, one of the six important Gelupa monasteries in China, was built in 1447 by the first Dalailama.

DAY05:Shigatse- Tashilunpo Monastery-Lhasa
Today you will check out from the hotel and drive to visit Tashillunpo monastery which is located in Shigatse city,After seeing the monastey you will continue to drive Lhasa from the southern road and totally has about 280km which takes about 6hours.
The famous Tashillunpo monastery in Shigatse is the seat of the Panchan Lama, one of the six important Gelupa monasteries in China and was built in 1447 by the first Dalailama with the financial backing of two nobles of the Tsang region. A visit to this monastery is a must for every visitor to Shigatse, and certainly deserves its name as the greatest monastery of the Yellow Sects monastery in the Tsang region.

Force Majeure includes impersonal events such as war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, earthquake or natural disaster that makes it dangerous or impossible to safely undertake the tour. The determination of what constitutes 'Force Majeure' is at the discretion of LeTourPanda.
For cancellation due to any other reasons (such as illness, change of personal circumstances), the date on which the request to cancel is received by LeTourPanda will determine the refund due as follows:
If you cancel 7 days or more before the start of the tour:10% cancellation fee.
If you cancel 6 to 2 days before the start of the tour:50% cancellation fee.
If you cancel less than 1 day before the start of the tour or no show: 100% cancellation fee.
